"Items cannot be found in store? Online info wrong"
If you see that your store has items in stock online you may be surprised on a visit that there is none in the store. This has happened several times in the St. Hubert store because the shipping area is too small and your items can't be located.

"I don't understand the low ratings..."
I don't understand the low numbers for Princess Auto because, to me, they're legendary. The staff is knowledgeable and they stand behind what they sell. I've bought countless things from them (especially tools) and while I wouldn't say that they're pro-grade, they're perfect for the average person and dirt-cheap. The value that they offer is excellent and they have lots of "weird and wonderful" items that you'll often didn't even know you needed. It's really one of my favourite stores, period.

"POOR ON LINE INVENTORY MANAGEMENT"
Checked on line (5 months ago) for an item at my nearest store (1.5 hrs away) ...not in stock. Went to do an on line order and the cost of shipping was more than the item, EVEN with the $30 they offer for shipping. i contacted head office and was told they do not ship to individual stores. I was told the item was to come for sale again in early april...it did. I checked my store and there was 1 in inventory. I immediately placed an order...it was confirmed and i rec'd an e-mail saying my order was being processed and to wait for an e-mail indicating the item was ready for pickup...the on line inventory at my store went from one to none in stock right after my purchase. the next day, instead of a confirmation e mail...i got an order canceling my purchase as there were none available. The bottom line, in my experience...PRINCESS AUTO IS NOT TO BE TRUSTED with competent service.

"False advertising online."
The have pictures of product that they sell online that are not the same as what you receive and also do not include parts that they show in the ad. In fact, I found that the pictures that they use in their online ad, were from a competitor's web site... They have a 2meter sawmill extension when when you look at the 2nd picture of it (which is zoomed in) you clearly see a Log clamp and a log post. This leads you to believe that it is included (as the closeup picture shows it). But when you get the package, they are missing these parts. I called to complain and I was told yeah the parts are missing, but you don't really need them... That is BS. It is very unsafe to saw logs on a sawmill without having them secured every 6 feet or so. Also, they actually took the Photo for their product from WoodlandMills website!! Unbelieveable they they would do this. It is like using a picture of a ford online, buying it, and getting sent a lada... They have no shame... I complained about the false image being used online days ago, and they still are using this false photo to sell their product. I hope they get sued...

"False Advertising"
Ordered a sawmill extension. Online it showed it coming with the Log post and the log clamp (log dog). Received the package 2 or 3 weeks later... Those parts not there... Phoned Princess auto Customer Service. They told me that the picture online in the ad was wrong, so they said they would refund me $200. Just had to get it approved by the manager... Next day got a call back, they told me the manager said no refund as I did not need the parts that they show online in the ad... I don't know if any of you have used a sawmill, but a track without a log clamp and post is useless... it is totally unsafe. That manager is a total idiot who does not know what he is selling. His advice will get somebody seriously hurt or killed... Did more research and found out that the picture that they are using online to represent their product was taken from Woodlandmills.com's website. Woodlandmills track extension comes with those parts that they showed... Requested to send back and am in process now. Also, contacted Woodlandmills to let them know that Princess auto is ripping of their product images. Also put in a false advertising complaint with the Canadian Competition Bureau. Had another order for a tire inflator/pressure gauge. When it arrived it was different that advertised as well... It seem that there is a lot of items that are misrepresented on Princess Auto's web site... I suggest never ordering anything from them unless you get to check it out in the store first... if you compare the two photos attached, you can clearly see the rip off of the competitor's ad. Princess auto does not even have the same clamp design!

"Entitled useless employees"
Why do you hire people that know next to nothing about most products you sell. Most of the time you will find them somewhere down one of the back isles on their phones. Once you track these useless entitled employees down, they will have no idea what you are looking for or what isle to go to. Typical responses, "I dunno, not sure, did you ask the front?. Gone are the days that you have to know things about your job but yet these people are all screaming for a living working wage close to $20 an hour when they aren't even worth minimum wage. This generation lacks 0 common sense and be careful because you might trigger them if you ask them for help or hurt their feelings if you don't know their sexual perferance and proper pronouns to use. Can't wait for robots to take over most duties at stores like this and hone depot, reno etc. The world is doomed.

"Canada Post loses delivery."
The person who handled my claim was absolutely first class. The call Center at Princess Auto is by far the best I have ever dealt with.

"Horrible atmosphere and smell"
I was not pleased by the state of the store, very gross smell and did not even have the right size of tire.

"Rude staff member cost the store a $500 sale."
Went in on November 26th at ~2 pm to get an item for a Christmas gift. It was on the pricey side so I wanted to make sure it was a certain model so needed one simple question confirmed. The gal helping me didn't know the answer so took me to a guy working at a bench in the hydraulic section of the store and man was he rude. He grumped at the person helping me that he wouldn't know any more than what the description had on the item. When I told him what information I was looking to confirm his response was condescending and his attitude was horrible. I let him and the gal helping me know that I wasn't impressed with him and walked away and as I was the staff member got sarcastic and yelled after me "you're welcome ma'am" knowing full well I was furious at how badly he handled the situation. This fellow should not EVER be allowed to deal with other humans. He is the only reason the store lost a quick, easy $500 sale. I called the manager as I left the store to let her know what happened and she was apologetic, but the damage has been done. I will never shop Princess Auto again and neither will my husband who has shopped there a lot in the past. The date of experience would not allow me to put in the correct date but it was definitely November 26, 2022.

"Customer service."
I spent over half an hour at Princess auto. Their computer says they have 14 in stock. They couldn't find ONE! What a bunch of idiots. It's not that they are small. 20 Gallons! I gave up and left.

"Princess Auto is great"
I don't get how they can have anything under 3 stars here. I am so satisfied again with princess auto. That I wanted to leave a review hoping they see it. Thank you have been a customer since a kid when you where in the old hangers building in the corner. I returned an old power fist 3" vise that the cast had broke. Old ten plus years old im thinking. No receipt no 3" vise in store. Got a 4" vise that is around what I paid years ago. Thank you.

"Never again! Today I went to the scratch and dent…"
Today I went to the scratch and dent sale I got there early and was the second in line. I spotted a inverter for $200.00 I was going to buy.8:00 o’clock came me and my friend went over to the inverter we were just going to pick it up and the and a sales clerk came and put a sold sticker on it .I asked what that was for he said it was sold to this guy behind me.I was there first and it was sold to him ! I protested and he said he bought it first.I was going to buy a couple of hundred dollars worth of tools for work that day to but instead i left with nothing.I phoned princess auto customer service and told them to take me off there mailing list and take my phone number out of there system all emails are directed to my junk email now.I spent a lot of money at princess auto over the years but no more.as long as I’m alive i will never spend one more penny there ever! They probably don’t care because there’s thousands more that will

"Today I had the very worst customer…"
Sunday September 18th, 2022. Today I had the very worst customer experience in my memory. As I left my parked car I was approached by a Princess Auto emplyee and advised in an annoyed tone that there was "only 5 minutes to closing". Now please understand I had no idea the store closes at 5pm or I would not have come that day, yet I and everyone in the store was treated as if we came last minute on purpose. I replied "I will be very quick".
Once in the store yet another employee advised me they were closing in less than 5 minutes but since he was inspired to get me out quick, he helped me find the item i required. I trotted straight to check out where, the cashier proceeded to call out over me in a loud voice "how many more are there in here, i just want to get out on time on Sunday for once". I paid, went to my vehicle, strapped in and noted the time. Still 1 minute to closing.
What you will do with this is up to you, nothing perhaps if todays experience is used as an indicator. I'm 65 years old and today was a new one on me. I am tempted to offer my services to you, as I'm sure I could effectively replace any 3 of these dismal employees I experienced today.

"NOT IN STOCK AS WEBSITE SHOWS, IGNORANT STAFF"
BOY DO I HAVE A COMPLAINT, GENESIS 20 V SAWZALL 149.99 SKU *******. SUDBURY LOCATION ON LASALLE WEBSITE SHOWS 3 IN STOCK. I DROVE 3 HOURS FROM SAULT STE MARIE TO SUDBURY, SPEND 1 HOURS, 1 MANAGER AND 3 EMPLOYEES AND CANT FIND ANY IN STOCK. I COULD SEE IF COMPUTER SAYS 1, MOST LIKELY 0, BUT 3 IN STOCK. CANT FIND 1, MANAGER PHIL SAID THEY WERE PROBABLY STOLEN. 3 STOLEN THAT'S CRAZY. NO SECURITY MEASURE AT DOORS. I DROVE 3 HOURS THERE AND NOW IM DRIVING 3 HOURS BACK HOME FOR NOTHING. THE FIRSTS 2 EMPLOYEES WERE, IGNORANT, THEY COULD NOT BE BOTHERED, I ASK FOR THERE NAMES SO I COULD FILE A REPORT, THEY SAID NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS. LOOK AT THE SECURITY CAMERA AT AROUND 1PM TO SEE WHO THEY ARE. I ASKED FOR A MANAGER SOMEONE NAMED PHIL SHOWED UP, HE WOULDN'T GIVE ME THE NAMES OF THE FIRST 2 EMPLOYEES, THEN ANOTHER NICE GUY CAME OVER TO HELP. I ASKED FOR HIS NAME HE SAID IT WAS ZACK. HE WAS A GOOD GUY, WHY WOULD HE GIVE ME HIS NAME ZACK AND THE OTHER 2 SAID MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS. I CANT BELIEVE 6 HOURS OF DRIVING FOR WHEN YOUR WEBSITE SAID 3 IN STOCK. WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT MY WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.? WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT THE FIRST 3 ASH OLES... WILL BE FILING A COMPLAINT WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU, AND CONSUMER AND AFFAIRS, AND GOOGLE REVIEW. TONY B.

"A great store and selection of items"
A great selection of DIY items and machines. In the few times I had return something (up to $600 item), I've never had a problem. I continue to be a loyal customer.
